C/C++ Compiler stopped working in SIL mode

I have a model which is to be run in SIL mode in Matlab 2013b. If I run the model in SIL mode, the model builds successfully and it prepares to start the SIL simulation, but after a short time I get the following error;

“Microsoft C/C++ Compiler Driver has stopped working. A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Please close the program”

And the only option it gives is “Close the program”

I am not sure how to resolve this issue. I am using the SDK 7.1 Compiler which I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Matlab but still I get the same error and can't run my model in SIL mode.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
