Change the axis label unit length

Hello everyone, I want to know how I can change the unit value of an axis, for example, I want the xaxis label to show values with a step of 1. In the standard form, it changes when you change the size of the plot, but I do not want that. Can anyone help me? Thank you

You can set the XTick and XTickLabel properties.

ax = gca;
ax.XTick = [...]; %vector containing ticks you would like (spread evenly across axis)
