I want to create a function that uses something like the ginput to get information from a graph. However, instead of the usual ginput graphic selector, I want to use the horizontal zoom selector. Is there a way to do it?

        Hi Caike,
As I understand, you are trying to get some information from the graph when you zoom horizontally. One possible way to achieve this workflow would be to set the zoom callback "ActionPostCallback". More information about the "zoom" function and how to work with it can be found here: http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/zoom.html
In the callback you could retrieve the information you are looking for. You should note though that there are not individual callbacks for zooming horizontally and vertically.
For information about callbacks please see: http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/interactive-control-and-callbacks.html
