Hey guys,
I use Matlab Online and it is currently (18th of august 2016) very slow, almost unusable. If I wish to save my function, I need to wait 15 minutes for it, executing code takes ages, even if it is a simple size(someSmallVector). I know that Matlab Online is slower than the normal version but it was never so slow. Is there anybody out there experiencing the same issues?
Regards, Fred

Hi Fred, In addition to Andreas response. Can you confirm you are no longer seeing issues?
I am facing the same issue.
the executing time is very unstable. Also if you execute
t=bench
you would notice that the performance could vary a lot in a day, it could be cause by huge amount of user trying to execute their code at matlab online

Hi all:
We have made significant enhancements to MATLAB Online performance and functionality since this issue has been raised, which should address all of the concerns raised in this discussion. If you have any concerns over your MATLAB Online experience, please do not hesitate to reach out to me using the link at the bottom of the MATLAB Online product page at https://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab-online.html.

Dear Hisham. The link you put shows " Oops! This page does not exist. " Please kindly post alternative link or explain about the troubleshooting here. Thanks.
@Moh Sef Thank you for the observation! I fixed the link. :)
Hi @Hisham. The problem remains the same, especially when I was taking the simulink onramp course. Could anyone in matlab do something to fully solve this problem?
I am having the same problem taking the "Matlab Fundamentals" course. It is nice that this is offered, but it is so painfully slow that it is diffcult to take.

I've been using Matlab online for a Coursera class and it is very slow. It takes about two minutes to log on, and then it may take another five or six minutes for my files to appear. It's so painful.
When I finally do get my files, the (short, simple) programs run very slowly. If I type '2+3' in the command window it may take a long time to run. Often it is unresponsive.
Not real impressed with Matlab online...

Are you still experiencing this issue, John? I am now having the same problem (and am also in a Coursera class. It's rather frustrating.
Hi all:
Is this issue still plaguing you both? We've made some major improvements to our MATLAB Online experience that should address your concerns. Please let me know if you still find things slow and we'll investigate ASAP.
same issue here.
not enough 'memory' to prompt after a dir command
Also experiencing this problem, very slow to load and execute even simple commands. Cleared cache and deleted .session file, still very slow. Any solutions for this yet?
Same issue here
same here
Same here with R2020 version

I was bringing this post to the attention of MathWorks IT yesterday. They investigated it and could not find something out of the ordinary, nor were there other customer reports.

same here.. is there any way we can still use offline matlab? I would prefer going to octave if matlab continues to behave this way..

I download Octave because of this same reason but then my programming assignments are not getting submitted. "Refused to connect", "Grader sent no response" is the error. Could you help?
