Sorry, but no. But feel free to contact sales and ask them. Of course, there are alternatives like Octave that you can get.

No. There has never been a free version of MATLAB. There is student pricing for MATLAB that is a small fraction of the commercial pricing.

In addition to the reasonally-priced Student Version, I encourage you to contact your university's central computer center. Very often, a university has a campus-wide license that includes also students, but the communication about that is inconsistent.
