How can I connect arduino uno to matlab 2012a?

I am having following problem while I am trying to connect?

The board is powered on,and it is connected to a usb port in my computer.Important:my arduino is working for simulink.Its possible to blink led using simulink.

I hope the following info below would be useful to solve this problem.

I have installed the patch file in a different folder.not inside the matlab folder in program files. and then i am trying to install it again following problem occurs. *Is it possible to remove the patch files and reinstall them?

Please help me.I really appreciate it.

Note:

In version R2012a, the MATLAB and Simulink support package for Arduino was http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/32374-legacy-matlab-and-simulink-support-for-arduino and the Simulink support package for Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega256 was http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/35639-simulink-support-package-for-arduino-uno-hardware--r2012a-

The version of arduino() for those versions did not permit any input indicating the variety of device, just the port number.

This is wht appeared after I enter the "which -all arduino".

I have already installed the MATLAB and Simulink support package for Arduino for 2012a.

I tried to install the Simulink support package for Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega256.But after I enter 'targetinstaller' command following 2 errors popped as shown below:

Still I cant connect my arduino uno .Please help me to solve it.Its a great help.Thank you verymuch

I would tend to think that you would need the patches to have priority over the version you are using, but I do not know where you got those patches so I do not know if they are relevant or not.
