How can I change cell mode color settings?

1 view (last 30 days)
I would like to change the Matlab setting so that my mfiles show up with a black background to reduce the amount of light and make it easy on my eyes. I changed the color options to do this, but now when I use cell mode the current cell is highlighted to the default yellow background for the active cell and my white text is not at all visible. Is there a way to change the active cell color setting? See the attached picture, I would like to change the yellow background to a dark gray or something like that.

it is back in the color options that you used to change the background to black. you should be able to expand the colors category by pressing the triangle next to colors and see another option called programming tools. Within the programming tools, change the color of the "section display options"
my personal preference is to change the comments to a brighter green, and the section highlight to a dark green. which makes the comments pop and clear to see
