How to use profile for image detection in documents

Hello,I am writing Matlab code to detect images in a document (like a scanned magazine). First I divided my whole document into blocks. Now I don't know how to use morphology or profile to detect images(not histogram or text). My code and data base document are attached. Thanks.

Try thresholding for white. Then use bwareafilt() or bwareaopen() to throw out blobs smaller than a certain size. Or you can throw out non-rectangular shapes.

All that stuff in your code about dividing an image up into blocks, you can throw out. It's not appropriate.
