R2105a crashing after sleep/display unplug on Yosemite

Hi,

after my Macbook Pro running OS X 10.10 Yosemite returns from sleep mode or after unplugging and plugging back in an external display, R2015a crashes completely, doesn't show any windows at all, only says "Application not responding" in the dock. I'm not quite sure yet whether this has to do with the sleep mode and/or the display thing, since it only happens randomly. I'll support more information once I'm sure about the event causing this issue and would like to hear in the meantime if anybody else has this problem.

Happens regularly to me, too. When I wake up my computer after the screen goes to sleep Matlab quite often hangs.

Please, Mathworks, fix this!

This also happens to me, except in Sierra 10.12.4.

Machine: Macbook Pro Retina, 2.8GHz i7, 16GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M370X.

There is a known issue with attaching/detaching external displays on a Mac:

Proposed fix did not work for me... Matlab still crashes when waking up and attaching/detaching display.

As Eric said, please contact Technical Support to investigate this problem further. You can contact Support using the Contact Us link in the upper-right corner of this page. When you contact Support let them know that you have tried the workaround given in bug report 1073542 and it didn't work.

External display crash still here on 10.15.4 with R2019b, Workaround does not work..this should not be with a multi k$ Software and a bug that is existing since 2013...c'mon guys.

If this was a known issue in 2015, why is it still happening in 2019? (Using R2018b, Macbook Pro, Mojave, external display) Whenever my mac comes out of sleep Matlab crashes.

Still the same problem (Matlab crashes either when coming out of sleep mode or when pluging/unpluging an external display) on R2020a, a new MacBookPro with Catalina. Please, FIX this of provide some solution.
