how to find overlapping circles in matlab

how can i find if the two circles that i have defined are overlapping for the two conditions when the circle coordinates are known and when the circles are at random locations can you please help me sort this out thank you in advance

Your question is very vague! What sort of data do you have? Are we talking about some sort of equation? Do you have the perimeter data of two circles? Do you have radius and center?!

Your problem is clear to yourself not to us (or at leas me) really!

here i am talking about when i have the where i have the the center and radius and if the circles are defined in a random fashion is there a method to find if they are overlapping or not??

Two circles will overlap if and only if the distance between their centers is less than or equal to the sum of their radii.
