Does split screen work in R2025b?

In MATLAB R2025b, in the Editor, I can't get the split screen option to work at all. In R2024b and R2025a I can right-click on my code, select Split Screen | Top/Bottom, and the screen is split. Alternatively, I can select VIEW | Split Document | Top/Bottom, and I get the same thing. In R2025b these methods don't seem to do anything for me. It's not split and there are no error messages. However, if I open the Design App and go to the Code View, the split screen works ok.
Are there any settings that would affect this? Does anyone else have this issue?

The trick for R2025b appears to be "undock editor". The screen will be split in the undocked session.
If you then dock the editor again, the screen will continue to be split. However, if you click "off" for screen split then you cannot get the split back except by undocking the editor again.

Ok, the undocking/redocking trick works as you said, but it is inconvenient to say the least. Thanks for the quick workaround and for confirming that it's not just something that occurs with my install.
The workaround seems to work for me but this is a bug.
I reported it as a bug. Mathworks replied to me that they knew about it and R2025b Update 1 included a fix for it. However, I updated to Update 2 and I still had the problem. I don't know if that means it worked in Update 1 and broke again in Update 2 since I don't think I can downgrade to Update 1.
It didn't work in Update 1; I tested it.
Same problems and behavior for me ... I've been experiencing multiple issues (and having to make undesired UI adjustments) since I updated from R2021b to R2025b ... Where's the quality control I've come to expect from the MathWorks?
Still experiencing this issue (unable to split) in R2025b Update 2 on Mac. Undocking fix suggested doesn't work.

Hi all, just wanted to provide an update on this. This issue, specific to R2025b, will be fixed in Update 3, which is to be released soon.

Please also consider restoring (as defaults) the cut, copy, and paste buttons on the quick access toolbar ... Thanks!
I saw that R2025b Update 3 is out now. I installed it and confirmed that I am now able to split the screen. Huzzah!
