I accidentally changed the username so when I try to open it it does not work. How do I fix that?

No idea what you're talking about. What is "it"?
Best suggestion is to call tech support for free help if you can't launch MATLAB.
If you have any more questions, then attach your data and code to read it in with the paperclip icon after you read this:

I'm guessing that you are receiving a licence manager error when you try to start MATLAB. If that's the case, add the license manager error number to the search box on this page, find the entry with that error number in the subject, and read through what MathWorks Support Team wrote in the accepted answer.
If that does not provide enough information to determine how to resolve the license manager error, please contact MathWorks Technical Support using the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page (and at the bottom of most if not all pages on the MathWorks website.)

Or, my cheat sheet https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/404028-license-problems-cheat-sheet summarizes more than 95% of the license manager error codes.

If you changed your Windows username, then you are probably receiving an Error 9, unauthorized user.
By far the simplest way to deal with this is to change your username back to what it was before.
If that is not acceptable, then you will need to deactivate your previous user, which is described at https://www.mathworks.com/help/install/ug/deactivate-an-installation.html . After that you would reactivate MATLAB.
Warning: if you deactivate and reactivate against at different name, then there is the risk that this might count as a "transfer" of users. There is a yearly limit on the number of times you can transfer users.
In theory, Student and Home accounts cannot be "transferred" at all, so there is a risk that it will be denied. If that happens, you need to contact Mathworks Support.
The transfer limit and the limitations on transers are the reason that I say that it is far easier to just change your username back.
