editor not opening 2025b on intel mac

Just installed 2025b on an intel mac.

edit myscript.m does not start the editor with a new file myscript.m, it just hangs.

I can terminate the wait by control-C. I tried to enable full disk access for matlab2025b on my system and restarted matlab but it doesn't help.

I have the same issue (2019 mac pro, intel 12 core xeon w, sequoia 15.7.1) and would welcome a solution by Matlab support in this thread.
