How can I integrate a phasor-based DFIG wind farm model with a discrete PV plant in a single power system simulation

Hi,
I’m currently facing a challenge related to the integration of a wind farm and a PV plant within a network system such as the IEEE 9-bus or similar configurations.
The issue arises from the incompatibility between the two types of models: the wind farm is modeled using a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) - Phasor Type, whereas the PV plant is modeled using a discrete (detailed or switching) model. Due to this difference in simulation domains—phasor vs. discrete—it seems they cannot be included together within the same model or simulation environment.
What would be the best approach or recommended solution to overcome this modeling incompatibility? Should I consider converting one model to match the domain of the other, or is there a more efficient way to simulate both systems together while preserving accuracy and stability?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If fast-switching dynamics are crucial for your study, consider converting the DFIG wind farm model to time domain. If your focus is on slower, system-level dynamics, may be worth using frequency simulation. If very long simulation (such as weeks or years) is needed, then frequency simulation would be better. The answer will really depend on the exact requirements.
