Matlab causes laptop to restart and it is laggy

I have Dell laptop, Ryzen 3 2200U(2cores), 4gb ram, 512gb HDD. I am using ubuntu dual boot. And my laptop crashes whenever I use MATLAB, it becomes unresponsive and proceeds to restart the laptop. So is there any way of optimising it.The web version also feels laggy in my laptop

I understand the issue you are facing is different, however still want to share this article as a command

matlab -timing

mentioned. Maybe this helps to identify where in the startup process, the issue occurs.
