Compiled app signing with SignTool failing

I used to be able to sign my MATLAB compiled apps with the SignTool earlier (with MATLAB 2023b and earlier). But when I used MATLAB 2024b, I get errors from SignTool with error code 0x800700C1, saying the binary "is not a valid Win32 application". What has changed with MATLAB 2024?

Are you saying that the SignTool has changed and no changes were made to the compiled MATLAB applications which will trigger errors from SignTool?
No, I am just giving a reference for SignTool as most people are unlikely to be familiar with it.
Did you find a fix for this? I just hit the same problem after upgrading to 2024b.
I just got a response (yesterday) from Mathworks that the latest Update4 to the 2024b release fixes this. I am working on with our IT team to test out whether that update resolved that issue or not.
Thanks for the update. I just checked with Update4 on 2024b and I still get the same error. Please keep me posted.
Yes, the update4 did not fix the issue for me either.
I can confirm that as well. I just updated from R2023b to R2024b (update 4) and I cannot use signtool.
However, the error message is different. It returns error code 0x800700C1
is it fixed now?
No. It is not.
is it now?
Good news. I got an e-mail from Mathworks informing that the latest update to MATLAB 2024b fix this and I downloaded the update 6 and yes, signing issue has been fixed.
