Measurement Error of Ultrasonic Sensor in Driving Scenario Designer

9 views (last 30 days)
I tried to obtain object and distance data using an ultrasonic sensor in the Driving Scenario Designer.
The distance values extracted from the sensor data in the Driving Scenario Designer were normal.
However, when I read the Measurement values from the Ultrasonic Detection Generator in Simulink, using the data from the Scenario Reader, the values are incorrect.
Sometimes it detects objects when there are none, or the values are completely off.
Please help me.
This is the same issue as described in the link above.
The sensor data we expect should look like this. This data is measured from the Driving Scenario Designer.
However, in Simulink, the data appears like this. This is an error of the ultrasonic sensor as confirmed in the bird's-eye view in Simulink.

Hi, it looks like there was a bug in Ultrasonic Detection Generator block in Automated Driving Toolbox. And it looks like a bug that I assume is the same with your situation is fixed in R2024b. Can you try the same approach in R2024b Prerelease?
Below is my comparison in R2024a and R2024b prerelease at the exact same time (0.5 sec).
If you want a fix in releases before R2024b, please reach out to MW Technical Support.

Thank you for your answer.
When I display the measurements from the ultrasonic sensor generator in Simulink, the values seem accurate. However, there are times when the values appear strange on the Bird's Eye Scope.
Nonetheless, since the values are accurate in Simulink, I think I can still use it
