Good FPGA for learning MATLAB for signal processing and comm

Dear Community, I would like to know if you can recommend a good FPGA to learn Matlab for communications and signal processing. I'm looking for something not too expensive to have some practical applications on. Thanks!

Hello Bogdan,
You find information about supported hardware here. There are boards from AMD (Xilinx), Altera (Intel), and Microchip for IP Core Generation workflows. Depending on your requirements, you could use a pure FPGA or SoC board. I would suggest SoC for more flexibility. Since you mentioned comms, it might be relevant to you doing Software Defined Radio. We support the FMCOMMS2/3/4 board that can be combined with some SoC boards.
Best regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the feedback. Thought about doing some SDR, thanks for the tip regarding FCOMMS2/3/4. Actually I'm also on the lookout for some 5G enabled boards for signal analysis but the whole package (Zynq SDR, MATLAB and all other toolboxes) is just too expensive for a hobbyist.
Best Regards,
Bogdan
