I am trying to download EEG LAB plugins and I keep getting an error code that I do not have permission to do this. Has anyone encountered this? How do I fix it?

Hi Reb,
I see you that are unable to download the ‘EEG LAB plugins’ due to permission denied error.
Please try below given troubleshooting steps and see if the issue resolves:
- Make sure that you have correctly installed the plugin and try to re-install the plugin.
- Check MATLAB Path: Please check the MATLAB Path is set to the folder where plugin file is located.
- Check Dependencies: Check if the ERPLAB plugin has any dependencies or not and add those dependencies accordingly.
- Manual Installation: If you’re still having trouble, you might try downloading the plugin directly from the website and manually placing it in the ‘eeglab/plugins/ folder’ : https://eeglab.org/others/EEGLAB_Extensions.html
Please refer the below links for all required dependencies and release notes.

Thank you!

Hi, this same thing happened to me. I was able to resolve by going to the folder of eeglab and checking-out whether the "plugin folder" was in it. In my case, it wasn't, so I created it and retryed to download through eeglab the extensions and it worked. ( In case you have any dought of where to create the pluging folder, I used this Youtube video to guide me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lty_oISqxlM)
Have a good day
