Configure RHEL9 firewall to allow Matlab parallel server/worker communication

When I have the firewall running on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstation and attempt to start the mjs service and connect to the job manager, it fails with this error:

Warning: The worker failed to register with the jobmanager.Failed to register worker due to connection problems.

I have opened source ports 27350-28350 but to no avail.

What firewall configuration settings need to be made to allow this communication?

Turning off the firewall altogether DOES work, but I need to have the firewall running.
