Matlab converting an STL file to GLTF

Hello, I am using currently the communication toolbox in matlab and in the R2023b matlab release it is now possible to using the raytracing propagation model with various material types in a scene. This is done by the gltf/ glb file types. As of now I was using a 3D scene created by an STL file. I wonder if it is possible to convert an STL file into a gltf/ glb one ( passing information about the materials of the scene ).
