Error (20005): Cannot compile your design for one of the devices in the Stratix IV family of devices. A license file is required

Hi,

I am currrently trying to complete once of the last steps in the HDL workflow advisor, 4.2 . Perform Synthesis and P/R, however I receive the error which I have placed in the description.

I am using the existing gm_turnkey_test_model/DUT Simulink model.

I am using a cyclone Altera EP4CE6E22C8 FPGA with Altera Quartus II 20.1.0.

What i am unsure of, is if this is MATLAB/Simulink related problem or Quartus problem. Is the license required to support Stratix IV from MATLAB/Simulink or Quartus.

I have looked on the net but cannot find anything that would suggest where the problem is.

I have attached a screenshot for clarity.

I did see the following which relates to DUT commented through blocks and tried to check compatability, however I only received an error in the diagnostic viewer window which stated invalid or deleted object.

If I could please receive some support and direction in how to navigate this problem it would be most appreciated.

The error message is from quartus_map -- so it is a Quartus problem.

Hi Walter,

Thanksfor responding. Yes I managed to sort that out which is good, however I now have a slightly different problem about the "Index exceeds the number of array elements. Index must not exceed 2.

I'm not sure where I should be checking to be able to resolve this problem.

Would you be able to provide any further insight?

That message is coming from quartus.

Sorry, I have no experience with quartus at all.
