Command for running l293d through raspberry pi B+ in matlab r2015a

I want to run motors connected to motor driver ic board l293d. I have assigned Gpio pins 16,20 & 21. In which 16 is enable. My command for running the motors is -
  • configureDigitalPin(mypi,16,'output')
  • configureDigitalPin(mypi,20,'output')
  • configureDigitalPin(mypi,21,'output')
  • writeDigitalPin(mypi,16,1)
  • writeDigitalPin(mypi,20,1)
  • writeDigitalPin(mypi,21,0) Even After giving these commands my dc motor is not rotating. Plz help
