Solve "MathWorks Account Unavailable - Technical Issue" with Customer Support
Show older comments
Hey.
I have the problem which is described in https://de.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/358274-why-do-i-receive-mathworks-account-unavailable-technical-issue-when-trying-to-link-or-verify-mys?s_tid=mlc_ans_email_view when trying to setup my Matlab Account to use it.
Unaccepted Online Services Agreement: Didn't solve the issue, just as deleting the cookies and trying again.
Non-University Email: I hope this isn't the case. When I tried to make an account with the full domain name, it said that there is already an account with this email address. So I am guessing it recognised it correctly.
So the first two solutions don't seem to solve my problem and I want to make a customer support service request for Invalid Affiliation. But unfortunately, I need a valid license to do this. I am a University student and don't know how to obtain set license and wasn't able to find the solution on the internet.
If somebody could help me out here it would be very much appreciated.
Best regards,
Micha

However, my inital question still somewhat remains, how I as an University student can make a service request at Customer Service without a valid licence.
When I open the support request page using the Contact Support link under the Get Support heading at the end of this page and select Customer Service to file a General Customer Service Request, one of the fields requested is License # but it does not have the red asterisk indicating it is required information. So I would expect you could create a Customer Service request, omit the license number, and have it be accepted by Customer Service. Try it and if it doesn't work please post back with what happened when you tried.

@Micha if you have difficulty installing or launching/running MATLAB, you can call tech support. They give free telephone support for all issues involved in getting MATLAB running, even if you are a student without additional tech support. They ALWAYS give tech support to at least get you to be able to get the main MATLAB development environment up and running. It's best to call them and talk to a real, live, friendly person.
