1,145 views (last 30 days)
This may be a silly problem ,but I really didn't find out the solution.Anyway, there're people saying that you can find a upload button in "Home" Tab,but I really don't see that.I am just hoping if anyone could show me.
I upload a picture about what I saw in my Matlab Online.Thank you.

Upload your files to drive.matlab.com or something like this website and then you can access it from the online matlab website

The Upload and drag/drop will not allow you to add a folder (there should be an Upload button on your Home Tab toolstrip).
However, notice what the root folder is - MATLAB Drive. Since you are wanting to copy a folder from your computer already, I suggest using MATLAB Drive Connector. This will place a MATLAB Drive folder on your computer. Any content placed in that folder will sync with MATLAB Drive. These files will automatically appear in MATLAB Online.
This way, you can always be using the latest version of the file no matter how you access it - MATLAB Online, MATLAB Mobile, or MATLAB Desktop.

Update: As part of the R2023a release, the Upload option was removed. See this answer for updated instructions on adding a folder.

if you are using the MATLAB online and the problem is to bring a file from your device to MATLAB online, then only solution that I know is ..
  1. GO to home tab of MATLAB online, select the upload and then it will aumatically direct you to select any file from your device and you select the required one that you want in MATLAB online and that's it.

There is an icon on the left corner before home or plot, click that will move you to main page wth folders and file. At the bottom got view files, just click on it. It will open a page where you can see all icons for upload files or folder. Then upload your files or folder there...done

All you have to do is press "New" and then select "Script". Choose a name for your new script, and the next interface you see should be more familiar to you.

Sorry, I did that but didn't find anything different. Simply dragging and dropping files on the folder pane worked for me. But still can not transfer whole folders.

In the latest version of MATLAB Drive online. you can add a folder. This is in drive only. You can still only add files in MATLAB Online.

The file system of MATLAB Online is MATLAB Drive. If you go to drive.matlab.com, you can add an entire folder there, either with the Upload button, or drag and drop. Once added here, it will be immediately available in MATLAB Online.
