Simscape: change parameters of the block 'grid surface' dynamically to simulation time

Dear all,

my question would be, if it is possible in Simscape to change the parameters (x, y, z) in a "grid surface" block dynamically with the simulation in the mechanics explorer?

I have put the "grid surface" block in a mask and made a callback function, that should trigger, if the parameter will be changed, but even if I change the parameter in the workspace, the change will only effect in the initialization and not in the time of the simulation.

Bigger picture: I want to simulation waves and thought, that this could maybe be possible with a grid surface and a point cloud.

Hi Marco,

In Simscape, the values of parameters in a "grid surface" block cannot be changed dynamically during the simulation using the Mechanics Explorer or by modifying the parameters in the workspace. The values set for the parameters of the "grid surface" block are fixed at the start of the simulation and remain constant throughout the simulation.
