How to create a random signal with desired frequency?

Hello everyone

I want to create a random signal in time domain with a desired dominant frequency (eg. 279.015 Hz)

Can anyone help me out how to create the signal?

This seems simple enough.

1. Create the signal, at the dominant frequency. That is just going to be a sine wave. Surely you can do that.
2. Add gaussian noise.

Why not try it? If you make no effort on the simple problems, how will you ever solve the difficult problems?
