I don't find etc directory in usr/local/​MATLAB/R20​22b/etc

On Ubuntu 20.04.5 after having installed Matlab R2022b there is no "etc" directory and therefore I can't find licence menager lmver.

Unless you explicitly installed the license manager, you're not going to have an etc folder. It is not there automatically nor from installing any other part of MATLAB.

Thank you very much. I can not find license manager installer. When I choose in Advance options : "I want to intall network license manager" I got an error.

What error did you get when you selected to install the network license manager?

For now, I met an error called License Manager Error -39. I tried to go to my local MATLAB installation folder, but I cannot find etc directory.
