How do I recover matlab after reinstalling the system?

Reinstalled my OS(C:). I try to run matlab.exe(D:) and it seems to be working all well after activating. But windows do not think it is installed, and I guess it should be added to the registry. Do you think it still needs to be reinstalled to work properly? If no, is there any way I can add it to the registry safely?

It is recommended to reinstall MATLAB. As to editing the registry, even though I do not recommended it, you can try the workaround mentioned in the below attached link.
