MATLAB drive connector has to be reinstalled every time my computer is restarted even though the preferences are to automatically restarted. I am running mac os 12.6 and using matlab r2022b.
Also, there is no matlab drive connector appearing in the applications folder.
Is there anything I can to avoid having to reinstall?

Can you try these following steps?
Close the Drive Connector and delete this folder:
~/Library/Application Support/MathWorks/credentials
On macOS, ~/Library/ is a hidden folder, so entering this path into the “Go To Folder…” prompt located in the “Go” menu is the fastest way to get to this folder.
After Deleting the credentials folder, start the MATLAB Drive Connector again. It will ask you to log in again.
After logging in, try restarting the system again.

Hi David,
I can understand that you are having trouble with MATLAB Drive Connector which has to be reinstalled every time when you restart the system.
The reason why you can’t see it in your applications folder is due to some apps which are downloaded by using Chrome or other third-party websites could be downloaded in your Downloads folder. After the download, you can click on it to run the installer. You may also be asked to copy the app to your Applications folder, or you should check your Download folder.
I would like to have you try a "clean" reinstallation. This involves removing a few additional folders after you uninstall the program so that the new installation will be completely fresh. Kindly follow the following steps for the same:
- Exit MATLAB Drive Connector
- Uninstall it from Applications folder
- Rename or remove the MATLAB Drive folder
- Rename or remove the MATLAB Connector root folder
- Clear out the installer's downloads folder
- Reinstall MATLAB Drive Connector
I hope this helps!
