is there a synonym of the function 'importdata' that supports code generation?

Hello, is there any synonym of the function 'Importdata' that supports code generation?, i want to import data from a txt file.

Opening the function list for MATLAB and filtering by Category "Data Import and Analysis" and Extended Capability "C/C++ Code Generation" generated a list of 76 functions, 22 of which fall into the "Data Import and Export" sub-category.

None of these are a direct plug-and-play replacement for importdata (which is highly flexible and so also quite complex) but fileread or the low-level file I/O functions may be of use to you.
