Non-numeric x-axis vs numeric y-axis scatter plot data (read from excel spreadsheet)

Hello,
I need to scatter plot y-axis values that I have collected for 4P, 8P and 12P conditions in my excel spreadsheet. However, the corresponding x-axis values (CASE 1, CASE 2, CASE 3, CASE 4, CASE 5, CASE 6, and CASE 7) have to be non-numerical and set in a clear range to be clearly visible in the plot. In other words, 4P, 8P and 12P values for each CASE should be on top of each other on the same x-axis and there should be 7 CASES on the x-axis. I could not figure it out, Matlab only recognizes numerical data from the excel.
This is just a shortened example, real data is a bit complicated.
I would appreciate if anyone can help.
