How can I build a model to simulate transformer inrush current?

I am building a model to simulate transformer inrush current and using controlled switching for mitigation of the inrush.

A good starting point is Simscape Electrical which model several transformers:

Apart from the transfomer you will need to model the load (e.g., resitsive load) and a breaker/switch to energize the circuit.
