Matlab 2022a running very slow on Windows 10

Hello - Matlab 2021b suddenly running very slow (basic codes take forever to run, simply clearing a variable takes 30 seconds), so I installed 2022a. It did not solve the issue.

Python Spyder is running fine.

The Matlab GUI freezes and -when you push tab- the editor does not guess your variable any more.

Now sure what other information is needed.

Update - Uninstalled everything and reinstalled Matlab 2021a. So far, everything is working fine.

Hmm, well maybe I need to try that, but I have additional toolboxes and thigns to set up and it will be a hassle for me to have to revert to a prior version. Has Matlab still not fixed this issue?

I have the same problem - the editor and command window are slow even typing is painful because there is such a delay for characters to appear. I tried disabling autocomplete, as that was a new feature about 2022 but that doesn't seem to have helped.

Yeah, it was a pain to reinstall everything, so I am in no rush to return to 2022. They never responded to this thread, so I don't think they even aknowlege or are aware of any issues.

My Matlab R2022b was running very slowly on Windows 10. I removed additional toolbox packages. Matlab is now working very well.

The same is happening for me on a Mac computer. How will they solve this problem?

It might be solved already. I am not sure because I'm still running 2021 and it's working fine.
