Questions about Longitudinal Driver model in Powertrain Blockset

In the powertrain blockset, for the Longitudinal Driver model, why give the vehicle a brake signal instead of reducing the accelerator when the actual speed is less than the target speed. For that, the vehicle will brake frequently.

You need to tune the driver model parameters to find a good control for your vehicle model.
From your description, I can see the driver model is too aggresive, you need to reduce the PI gain if you choose PI based driver model. You can try with try-and-error method to get a best solution after several trial tuning. I'm not sure which drive model you are using, if possible, you can contact me with email vhu@mathworks.com, and we can have a chat on phone.
