I cannot even put text into a script using the Matlab editor. The text goes to the command window.
This must be a problem for a lot of people but I can't seem to find anything on it.

i don't have a solution, but this happens on windows (win11) too sometimes. It happens so rarely that I just restart matlab and then it's OK.

Hi Steve,
I understand that you are encountering issues with MATLAB R2021b on MacBook Pro 2019. Please refer to the following workarounds that may help to resolve your issues:
- Issue with Window Snapping/Management Tools: Tools designed for window snapping and management, such as Magnet, might be causing conflicts with MATLAB. Refer to the following MATLAB answer for resolution/workaround: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/1470061
- Direct Launch from Terminal: Launching MATLAB from the terminal has been a successful workaround for some individuals facing similar problems. Refer to the following MATLAB Answer for detailed instructions: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/1599384
I hope this helps.
