running ble freezing MATLAB software after update
Show older comments
When I run the command,
ble("deviceName")
(with device name being the device that shows up in blelist)
the matlab software become unresponsive and I am unable to enter any commands. Ctrl + C does not work and I have to hard stop MATLAB.
Even if I shut off the bluetooth connection on the computer, MATLAB still says busy and any commands I CAN type are not evaluated when I hit enter.
Previously, I had no issues connecting to any BLE device or with using this command. The only recent changes to my system are:
- I updated from Matlab 2020b to 2021b
- Updated Windows 10 to Windows 11.
What I've tried:
- I uninstalled Matlab 2021b and reinstalled Matlab 2020b
Can anyone provide any thoughts or advice on what else to try?

Did reverting back to R2020b fix the issue, or does it still happen?

Support for Windows 11 was added starting in MATLAB R2021b Update 1. You must at least be on that version if you are using Windows 11.
