how can i multiply a sinusoidal grating with a two dimensional guassian function h(x,y).

[X, Y] = ndgrid( -5:.1:5, 3:.01:4);     replace the constants with the limits for x and y
gauss_mat = h(X, Y);
grating = ... whatever over X and Y
result = grating .* gauss_mat;
