hexdisp

Convert hexadecimal matrice to char.

Displays as char the output HEX of HEXFREAD

Syntax:
STR = HEXDISP(HEX)

In the screenshot is shown:
h=hexfread([matlabroot,'/X11/icons/matlab32c_icon.xpm']);
s=hexdisp(h)

Thus, you can store any file inside a .m or .p file, as the variable h, and then get the file back:
fid = fopen('fileCopy.any','w');
fwrite(fid,s);
fclose(fid);
