refinePDEMmesh
Mesh refinement for PDE models produced using the PDE toolbox. This only works for 2D models with linear triangular elements. This implementation ports the legacy refinemesh() function, which operated in the p e t mesh variable space, into the Matlab's current pde toolbox (R2020b).
Note the pde model must be meshed before calling refinePDEMmesh(), i.e. use generateMesh().
Examples:
pdem = refinePDEMmesh(pdem); % this will refine all elements within pdem.Mesh
pdem = refinePDEMmesh(pdem,[1,2,3]); % this will refine elements within faces 1, 2 and 3 of the model pdem
pdem = refinePDEMmesh(pdem,[10;20;30]); % this will refine elements 10, 20, and 30
[pdem,u1] = refinePDEMmesh(pdem,u); % this will refine all elements and interpolate nodal values u to the new mesh and output the expanded nodal values as u1.
Tip: use pdem.Mesh.findNodes() and pdem.Mesh.findElements() to find the mesh elements you want to refine.
This function is based on the original refinemesh() function written by A. Nordmark, Copyright 1994-2017 The MathWorks, Inc.
