Dimensioned variables are useful to make calculations with respect to their dimensions. This with the intention to avoid miscalculations due to mixing dimensions or misunderstandings.
This advanced variable class is a first attempt to this topic without claim to completeness. Design is done in the way that dimension definitions can be modified or enlarged dynamically to fit special needs.
The dimvar variables can combine a single or multiple values (double) with
• one unique dimension, so called a unique "dimvar"-variable
• or multiple dimensions, so called mixed “dimvar”-variable
The functionality is realized by the 'dimvar'-class and supported by the 'dimDefs'-function. The class-provides all methods for math operations, dimension conversions, comparisons and further miscellaneous operations while the function-acts as a dynamic unit definition container to offer the possibility for personal modified or enlarged unit definitions.
