Digital-Forestry-Toolbox
The Digital Forestry Toolbox (DFT) is collection of functions and tutorials for Matlab designed to help process and analyze remote sensing data (in particular airborne laser scanning) related to forests.
It includes:
-functions to input/output commonly encountered formats (ASPRS LAS, ENVI HDR, Terrascan TRJ, Applanix SBET)
-functions to clip, merge, compute spatial extent of LAS files
-functions to compute elevation models (DTM, DSM, DHM)
-individual tree crown segmentation algorithms
-functions to compute canopy metrics (e.g. crown coverage)
-various utilities (e.g. lidar timestamp format conversion, cluster coloring, cross section extraction...)
