SunMoon - Astronomical data to plan orientation research
SunMoon is a collection of Matlab scripts that creates informational graphs and tables about the apparent position of the sun and moon anywhere on Earth at any time. This program was created to inform field biologists interested in celestial orientation, and help them plan experiments; it is therefore designed to work for rather short time-periods (1-4 weeks), but the tables and some of the figures will still work for longer periods. The function was originally developed to study the orientation behaviour of ball-rolling dung beetles (Smolka et al., 2016).
