OptiBLESS is an open-source Optimisation toolbox for Blended Stacking Sequences. The toolbox relies on MATLAB's genetic algorithm in order to provides a simple way to optimise stacking sequences while ensuring smooth ply drop-off and other manufacturing constraints. It is user friendly and comes with multiple examples and a user manual.
I hope this code will help you, if not I'll be more than happy to receive your feedback and enhance the toolbox capabilities. Collaborations are also welcome.
