In music, a fake book is a collection of sometimes sparse notes on how to mimic well-known songs. A musical fake book might contain only basic chord changes or simplified melodies, but it's enough information for an experienced musician to follow along. In a similar light, here are some notes on how to recreate figures from a few recent papers in glaciology.
