An xml file specifying a MATLAB syntax highlighting mode for the Linux editors Kate and Kwrite, which are part of the KDE desktop environment. You need KDE 3.2, earlier versions like 3.1.4 don't work. The highlighting is identical to the built-in editor of MATLAB 6.5, with the addition that number literals and all ~1400 MATLAB core functions are highlighted as well. MATLAB 7 block comments are supported, too.To install the file, copy it to ~/.kde/share/apps/katepart/syntax on a user account or to the system-wide equivalent (e.g. /opt/kde/share/apps/katepart/syntax, depending on your Linux distro). Be sure to remove any old and buggy matlab.xml syntax files from these directories. The MATLAB highlighting mode will start automatically when you open a *.m file.
