Image to Volume Conversion for Representing Materials Topography

Converts a single image (microscopy, topogrpahy) into array of images.

You are now following this Submission

Function for creating a volume (array of images) representing topography from a single image.

topog=im2topography(afm_im,N,A);
N - number of depths levels to describe. The larger N - more slices represents a single image.
A - the value of intensity that represents the material. Where no material is present white color (intensity of 256) is used.

The topography can then be visualized using visualization routines in MATLAB.
