Active & Reactive power control in Windmills.
Version 1.0.0.0 (45.3 KB) by
Shaun Gomez
Voltage quality of grid connected windmills can be resolved using Dynamic VAR Technology.
To control the active and reactive power we use a AC-DC-AC model using PWM switching. The proposed wind farm controller using PWM is implimented, simulated using matlab simulink, tested and analyzed. Switching frequencies between 200Hz-2MHz can been used and total harmonic distortion THD, FFT, active power and the reactive power analysis can be made.
