dicomrename

Renames DICOM-files based on the value of fields in the file header. Compatible with Siemens MR IMA

The function DICOMRENAME can be used from the command line or when not supplying any arguments as a UI version. It will rename the files selected based on data read from the header of the file. The field used for naming can be formatted and ordered according to a schema defined in the first few lines of the source code or by supplying them as argument when calling this function. The code is completely compatible with and defaults to Siemens MR implementation of DICOM also known as IMA files. The code can easily be changed for any other DICOM implementation.
