Image Edge Detection using Non-Radial Discrete Hilbert Transform, Otsu binarization and morphological skeletonization
This paper presents an algorithm to detect edges of non-localized or unclear
objects in 2D images, utilizing a methodology composed of three stages: the application
of the Hilbert transform, Otsu’s binarization method, and Lantu´ejoul’s
skeletonization. To computationally validate the proposal, an example is presented
in which this methodology is developed, and an analysis and comparison
are made with other similar existing methods.
